I didn't want to be an engineer.

From the what-else-keeps-me-busy & off-topic department: It was a bit windy in Finland after christmas. So, this is what I found waiting at our summer cottage:

I didn't want to be an engineer. I wanted to be... a lumberjack!

I'm a lumberjack, and I'm okay, I sleep all night and I work all day.

I cut down trees, I eat my lunch, I go to the lavatory.

On Wednesdays I go shoppin'
and have buttered scones for tea.

Luckily it didn't fall the other way, across the road and over the power line.

I couldn't help it - the lumberjack song played on repeat in my ears most of the day.

Next task: manually converting the wood to smaller bits and pieces to make them fit in the stove.

Lots of that going on around here, we've had severe thunderstorms across the south and east coast. Glad no one was hurt. Keep up the good work!

Lots of fallen trees here too, due to high winds and pop up thunderstorms, folks lost power etc. Glad you were safe, thanks for all your work on APRS.fi

Looks like a lot of work, hope you are heating the cottage with wood, so you will be safe next winter. 73 de Ernst HB9PVI

I am glad you didn't make it to the second verse.

Yup, wood heating and, of course, wood-heated saunas here at our summer place - we need to chop down some wood for heating every now and then.

Glenn: right, with the photos and all...

We just got a thunderstorm overhead here right now. Power cuts are to be expected!

I'm a the cottage again this week. We have visitors in the garden every evening, and I think they sleep and breed below the cottage.
